The mats

Gym Rules

Simple rules that keep the room safe and the training good. They apply to every member, guest and coach.

  1. 01

    Respect the room

Coaches, training partners and the space. No ego, no trash talk, no coaching other people's rounds unless you're asked.

  2. 02

    Be on time

Arrive 10 minutes early for your first class. If you're late, warm up on your own at the side and join when the coach waves you in.

  3. 03

    Hygiene

Clean clothes and clean gear every session. Short nails on hands and feet. Shower before class if you're coming from work. No shoes on the mats.

  4. 04

    Gear

Wraps and gloves for bag and pad work, shin guards for sparring, mouthguard and cup for any contact. We loan wraps and gloves for your first class.

  5. 05

    Sparring

Sparring happens only in designated classes, with a coach watching. Control is required — light and technical is the standard. Match the level of your partner, never the other way around.

  6. 06

    Injuries and health

Tell a coach before class about injuries, illness or anything that affects safe training. Stop and step out if something hurts.

  7. 07

    Kids classes

Parents drop off and pick up on time and are welcome to watch from the side of the mat. Please keep the mat area clear during class.

  8. 08

    Phones and photos

Phones off the mats. Ask before filming or photographing anyone else.

  9. 09

    Check in every visit

Scan your member pass at the front desk so your attendance and credits stay accurate.
